Within the Erasmus+ Pirouette 2 project, all partner organizations successfully implemented Global Education Local Training activities in their local communities across Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Serbia, Kosovo, and Montenegro. These trainings represented a key step in transferring the knowledge gained during the international training held in Serbia, with the aim of strengthening the competencies of young people and youth workers through the global education approach and the application of participatory arts methods.

The activities were implemented by the partner organizations REDIAL (Ireland), LDA Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), NGO NEST (Germany), Magnet Association (Serbia), Anibar (Kosovo), and NGO Optimisti (Montenegro). All activities included planned pre- and post-evaluations, allowing the measurement of progress in participants’ knowledge, attitudes, and competencies. More than 60 participants took part in these local training activities across all partner countries.

The local trainings included interactive workshops and participatory activities combining visual arts, performance, storytelling, and other creative methods to explore global themes such as gender equality, climate change, poverty, civic engagement, and social inclusion. Participants were able to connect global topics with local realities while developing skills in communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and creative expression. The use of non-formal education methods and artistic practices ensured active engagement, reflection, and co-creation of content relevant to their communities.

Overall, the activities contributed to empowering young people and youth workers, strengthening their capacity to apply global education approaches in local contexts, and promoting the use of art as a tool for social change and community engagement.
